1 through 4 is just constant shifting - bugs the crap out of me. Then there is that big gap between 4th and 5th. At least with the meth I have enough torque to make 6th a decent gear.

Another possible explanation was the driver of the C5 was short shifting, and while you two were close, he was still not in his power band....once he got there, he just shot out a few cars and then shifted and fell back to turd status.
Not exactly what I was trying to say. And 3500 lbs for the weight of the Camaro? Don't know where you're getting your facts, but mine weighs 3300 give or take a few lbs. At least according to my title.

/\ title weights can be deciveing.... mine says 3478..... yet @ the track with me it hit the scale @ 3975!

I believe Title weight is 'Dry Weight'.

Yep heheh... 4th gear was the money gear in that car. Because it was actually long enough to not have to shift every .5 seconds

The old C5 would completley destroy your Car Stock for Stock. Even with your mod's, the stock C5 would still outpower you and weighs less.
Also, remember the LS1 just starts showing it's magic on Top-end speed, which is what there known for, and why he left you...

don't sweat the heat these guys dish out over beating an LS1.. you still have a great car and they were giving a guy with 295rwhp crap for being close and slightly beating stock ls1s.. (and I believe he has over 300rwhp with his mods) I'm surprised just looking at your dynos that you were able to beat ls1s.. a couple hundred pounds could equal up to 20hp but.. eh.. should be a close race either way.. the c5 jumping out must have been nice power band for him and a bad one from you.. I'm guessing any LS1s youve raced and won would be because you out drove them..
