id say your buddys sti will probably be around the 320 mark, he has higher compression than an sti hes running meth, and depends on the tune, there fast little cars, dont under estimate them

Oooh he is getting it tuned in NJ? Which shop??
I can't remember the name, but he says that they specialize in subarus, so I'd assume that the tune will be top notch.

A guy that comes to the Subaru meets did a turbo swap on his '07 WRX. I want to say the turbo is a 16g. He also has a FMIC, intake, exhaust, external wastegate and dyno tune. It's an auto and it made 300 awhp. I thought it would have done better. I haven't rode in the car, but a friend of mine did and he says it's no faster than his stage 2 STI.

I think you have this one. He may get you off the line, but my money is still on you.

Who me? I couldn't beat him when he had the mods I listed - the meth, I could only imagine how fast the thing is now. He has never taken it to the track but my personal best was a 14.3 at 96.5 mph, so I don't think thats even enough for a stock STi if well driven.

more like 3200 lbs.. and your mustang is only 3500.. 300 lbs difference can be made up with 30hp.. if you are quoting 3100 because tahts what your title said it was dry weight.. or if you weighed it must have had weight reduction
I highly doubt it

well.. thats the general rumor.. 10hp per 100lbs.. maybe there is a scientific formula to compute the needed horsepower to move a certain amount of mass at a certain speed so we can compute the difference between 3200 and 3500. I have a feeling its not a lot more.

The 16g is another tiny turbo. An 18g is the absolutely smallest turbo I would look at if I was to get back into the Subaru game again with a WRX or STi. Looking back it always surprised me how much money people wasted on aftermarket turbos turbo swaps, supporting mods and dyno tunes (myself included on my first WRX) when the power output the turbo and fuel system were capable of always maxed at like 300whp at most. I got bored of 300whp within like 2 weeks, so I sold my WRX, bought the STi and went from there [8D]
