Any one have any guesses for quarter mile times? It looks like the new R/T will edge out the new mustang to me. It has a better power to weight ratio. The power is bumped to 375 hp and 404 tq for the manual. Also, the 6 speed will not come with MDS.

The Challenger will cost maybe a little more, I built one for MSRP 30,990 with the 5.7L and 6 speed TR6060 with 3.92 gears. Whenever I go to the Forddealerships this is about the sameMSRPon all the mustang GT'sI see in thelot, granted you can build one for 26,425 with no options. My 06 GT premium with leather had a sticker of 29,800.

Oh and is supposed to weigh 4,041 lbs

 

The R/T challenger with 6 speed may be just as fast as the S 197GT due to being way 400-500+ heavier. The SRT version is just faster and iamo a well driven 6 speed SRT could net high 12s with ease.

 

I see them being slightly faster than a stock S197 GT, but about on par with one with a few bolt ons.

they should be a tad faster than a stock S197 this year. They are all automatics with tall gears now right? Next year when they get the 6-speed manual and get some 4.10's on that bad boy, it should be good for mid-12's easy

What are those? R/Ts? That is just pathetic... But, looking @ the 6 speed's time looks like he dorked the 60 foot pretty good, 2mph difference in trap, but almost a full second off in ET?

thats an extra 35hp and 14tq and much better gearing and 40lbs lighter than the07 chargerI think the R/T will be beating the GT and look great while its doing it. []
