2.1 is common for these cars on street tires.. but that time isn't. And it still doesn't make it a good time...

Also, there is an extra 150 or so (can't remember the exact number) but the convertibles also don't have great suspension either. The coupes have better suspension and they're not exactly great suspension cars either...

Either the track is flawed, this is BS, or there is more done to this car then what meets the eye... a 13.6 with a 2.1 60" basically puts this car at a 13.2/13.3 with a good 60"... no way...

Did you buy your car brand new? I think there's more to it then meets the eye... nowadays there really isn't much of a "factory freak" since you don't have people putting them together...

I've got no problem with the slip.
<13.5 with a 2.1 60ft @104....granted 2 mph and 150 lighter helps.

How do the coupes have better suspension? They don't have subframe connectors like the verts do, and that's about it. You could say the coupes having the hard top is more of a stiffer chassis, but the subframe connectors in the verts should help to offset that by a little bit at least.

I think a lot of you guys are overlooking that the track he's running at is near sea level, and the air was probably very good for those passes (no high 90s humidity conditions).

Yea....verts have subframes from the factory. Im 100% positive there is nothing done to the car, the car came from a 72 year old man, and was BONE STOCK when i bought it.

Those are subframes like my car has subframes (which it really does).. the coupes are a lot stiffer for some reason....

USMC -- was that a run in your mach? because if so, you're starting with a little bit more power... with a much better top end.

Also - I run at sea level and have run with low humidity in cool weather, and have seen a ton of cars do such... That's a run that a car with much more hp then you're going to get from gears and a xpipe... he's basically stock horsepower with gears..

im not calling BS because i don't think he's bs'ing but i think there's more to it... Maybe if he had tires and cut a nice 60" ... just not with that 60"... that would mean he has a low 13 second car as it sits + tires... There's no way.

Traction is main thing with the mach. They pull like a mother up top due to those 4 valve heads.
