Off topic question but why are all the s197 starting to use whipple s/c? i thought they weren't as good as some of the other "name brand" ones. Or might this just be for the 2Vs?

 

I think it's just because because of the type of supercharger it is. I forgot what type they're called, but the whipple, kenne belle, and saleen superchargers are all basically the same. The Vortech, Paxton, and Prochargers are all centrifugal superchargers. Just your preference I guess.

 

Twin screw, or positive displacement. All preference based.

 

lbballin9 if you buy your sct tuner from brenspeed, they will ask all your mods and they will give you the tunes for free with your tuner. So, basically you will only be paying for the tuner, which you will need anyways once you get a dyno tune.

 

i understand the difference between a roots and a centrifugal i just was wondering why alot of s197s of root type blowers mainly whipplel brand. just thought they didnt produce the kinda of numbers you would want to see, but im clearlky mistaken by looking at americanspeed for instance...
