Figured this would be the best place to post this question... my drag radial's are going to be here Tuesday and I'm going to hit a track around here maybe next Friday.

What kind of gear will I need? I know a helmet... what else? I have a shift-light on order, what other things would be nice to have?

 

some of suggestions

1) a cable and lock for any wheels/jacks your bringing
2) spray on Pam/WD-40 for the rear quarters for rubber or painters tape
3) cooler with ice to cool the car more quickly
4) lunch and drinks
5) vid camera
6) tire pressure gauge
7) a good attitude for having fun

 

Lol, thanks stkjock. it's going to be fun, no doubt... good list and I'll keep those in mind. I plan to drive down there with the same wheels/tires so I won't need a lock/jack. vidcam is a must lol and the digi tire gauge stays in the console at all times... sounds like I'm ready.

Just need a helmet...

 

many tracks will rent you a helmet for like $5 if you dont have one

if its your first time out check the stickey up top and dont get discouraged

 

I would suggest a line lock; you will have to smoke those Nittos pretty well to get them sticky. Believe me, I know.
