I don't think so, because I would have made sure he didn't get the jump, lol! But... if he did, I think I could have reeled him in.
What do you trap thru the 1/4? The new turbo cobalt is probably in the 102 to 103 area for trap speeds. I'm a member of the cobalt forums and the fasted time posted for a stock SS/TC is 13.5@105. That was at cecil county (Maryland) in the late fall. So you had good track prep on an already fast track with nice cool fall air to feed the turbo. I would expect you to have a great advantage from a dig but a roll could be pretty interesting. You'd destroy the earlier supercharged models. They were usally in the 99MPH trap range.
I think you would have got him, especially if it was supercharged.
Agreed.
Unless the Cobie was modded quite a bit more than the average SS, you would have raped him IMHO. I ran one (Supercharged, unknown year, w/gay performance decals) right after I got my S197, I thought he was letting off, if it wasn't for my buddy in the passenger seat I would have never known he was trying.

I would think with your mods you should destroy SS/SC balt, but the new ones if it had a just a tune it would have walked you. They put 300whp with only a tune and exhaust.

Man 300hp with just a tune. I know I would have beat this guy because I'm like 99% sure he was stock. But who knows anything could happen.... I'm preety sure I'll get a chance to run him because I can tell he wanted to see what I had.....

Come on beast you know I suck, lol (I've been practicing tho). I can tell this guy did his homework, he most def wanted to run it from a roll. Everytime I slowed down he would slow down. If I sped up he would speed up. Like I said earlier too much traffic but when I run him (I'm preety sure I will) I'll let you guys know how it went. win or lose...

Hey C, I thought all Cobalts were S/C? What year did the turbo ones come out? Which is faster the Cobalts are the SRT-4's?

I believe the new turbocharged cobalt is slightly faster than the old SRT4s and currently srt4(caliber) although the caliber is capable of making more power due to a redesigned motor and slightly bigger turbo than the turbocharged cobalt.
But the turbobalt handles extremely well, i think is the best in its class.
