I say race the Cobalt in two or three years. It is a GM product and it will be broken down and food for the crusher. GM simply builds junk cars in quality.
They will not survive long.
Hmmm, I had a 97 Chevy Tahoe that didn't give me one once of trouble, other than the fuel pump going out at around 100k miles. Also had a 99 Camaro that didn't give me a bit of problems either.

my '97 Suburban only had two problems, a fuel pump that went bad because my dad was running 10% Ethanol through it (the pump's weren't designed to run any Ethanol, period) and a messed up ECU that caused the truck to shift to neutral. other than that, it ran like a German freight train for over 155k miles before i traded it in for my old '05 F150.
the F150 went through 3 transmissions in three years. they were rated at 300bhp, but mine only put down 220rwhp. it never had enough power, got crap for fuel economy (seriously, 8mpg in town with a light foot??? and only 13mph on the highway without a trailer????), and seemed to squeak and rattle more than my old RS does, and my Camaro is 19 years old! oh, did i mention that after the first trans went down the drain, Ford wouldn't cover it under warranty??? never again will i buy a half ton truck from Ford. i'm glad i bought my Duramax.
