you have to keep in mind the types of people who bought the 6.1L auto cars, both sedans and challengers...
True. I wonder if it's hard to launch a 4200 lb. car like the new Challengers?

I went to the track modded 3 times before I even hit 13's.....bad drivers are everywhere.. but that doesn't mean a review like this needs to be taken so seriously.

We all know, except for the tools, that the SRT-8 Challenger is a low low 13 second car with a good driver. Hell, that good driver could be developing, that's why he's PRACTICING with the car....

I don't know what the DA was on my run, I'd like to have known though :-(

They can be quirky (heat soak) and a 2-3 diagnostic shift but with a 2.0 60ft, they should run low 13s all the time provided ESP fully off, allowing it to shift itself, etc.

Just like the other SRT-8s but the suspension is softer like the 300Cs. Most guys lower the tire pressure which hurts the F1s, might help the RSAs.

If the track is prepped, 2.0s should be normal, 1.9s if you know the car.

I have no idea about the 6Ms though. Haven't seen any data.

Mishri ran his 14.6 or whatever it was at 3700' altitude. More goes into the DA calc than just the altitude over sea level ofcourse. I think he figured it out and it was in the mid 13s after accounting for the DA.

I can believe that, but one thing that ****ing pisses me off is how some members there circle jerk and make stupid generalizations.

"because every Mustang guy thinks he can beat an SRT too"

Oh so true, as proven in this very thread, huh?

"Most GT owners think they can smoke SRTs"

The hell they do.

"I just love pulling up against a mustang and seeing their dumb look trying to look cool. But all that changes in a few seconds. Then the cool look turns into a don't look at me."

Oh damn.

Don't take the comments so seriously. People talk ****. Racing is to many a dick swinging competition and you know it.

I agree that IME the Dodge guys are about the worst of the lot in this regard. However, PLENTY of people talk smack about the Challenger. And yet lookey here... Guess those big fat "pigs" aren't so slow after all are they? But it won't matter. Some peeps will still keep running their yams about it.

There are douchebags who drive mustangs. And douchebags who drive Dodges. We all know this.

The morons here who talk about "those fat 2 ton pigs w/ one wheel peel that can't get out of the 14s lol" are few and far in between. Considering how this forum is generally neutral (and well populated/diverse) that I'm so used to reading, then reading that kind of crap on the first few pages there just doesn't settle too well with me at first.

I guess I'll just have to run one at the track and see what happens.
