Well went out to the local west texas drag strip to see if i can break into the 13's in this hot place. Well before going checked the weather and all to see if i can break into the 13's. Well to start off it didn't happen and hardly anybody did with any gts and f-bodys. The temperature at night was 83 degrees and humidity was horrible, it was at 82% and the density altitude was 5500 feet above sea level. Well got to the track and my friend has never been down the track and so we went two times with him in the car back to back i pulled a 14.7 with him in the car and he loved it. Well pulled over let it cool off a little bit and then watched some races and watched another mustang GT run his car and his first pass was a 15.6 and the z28 ran a 15.5 and i was like ok, this isn't good. Well the the temp finall dropped to to 87 and car was cool and decided to go run it 2 times since the wind died down from 30mph to to about 20. First pass by myself ran a 14.3 at 98.10mph, not my best time but my mph did increase 2mph, then the next run a ran a 14.46 at 98mph also. Then stopped it for about 2 hours and watched some runs. Watched some guy in a 2001 LS1 trans am get some runs, and to show you how bad it was that night, he had lingunfilter block, heads and cam, full exhaust, intake, suspension, and slicks and 150 shot. Well with out the shot his best run was a 13.3 don't remember mph, then on the bottle made one pass really good ran a high 11, i believe a 11.6. Then 3rd run back fired and blew his lid off and blew up his MAF. Track was prepped really well too and nobody could hook up or would get to the 1/8th mile and start spinning. Then must have been white z28 night, there where 8 our there, and the bad thing was they where all running 14.5 and up to a 16.3 and majority are autos with some mods. Well after an hour of watching at around 11:30 i finally decide it's cool enough, 83 degrees and altitude like i said horrible. So i ran and a guy in a lightning came up and asked me to run, he had full exhaust, intake and some kind of programmer and asked me to run so we did. We ran 3 times and all 3 times i ran 14.4 to his 14.3 and i won both times due to my reaction time and he didn't understand so i had to explain it to him. He then got it and i explain don't go on the green light, go when you see the 3rd amber and he was like cool. Well he dropped his reaction time from a 9.799 to a 6.1. Over all very displeased at the track and this is getting pretty long so i'll explain my times and mph.

Thank you for the invite, i think i might go to dallas sometime in the near future. My friends that actually run there car a lot say just by going to dallas i can drop anywhere from 5 tenths to 7 tenths just by elevation. I would love to see what i run at near sea level with good air.

I have a 73 Mach Clev 4v and a 92 GT vertible. I like taking the Mach to cruise-in's but the GT is really fun to drive!
