Default S197 Sixxer kill

well last night i was taking my good friend home in the Dirtymax, and we pulled up to a red light. it was one of those "sit for ten years and die before the light changes" kind of lights. so she and i are sitting there waiting when i noticed a Mustang pulling up in the right lane, with a SS/SC 'Balt in close tow. well my friend sees them pull up and starts egging me on to race, and she LOVES races. so finally i caved in, put the truck in 4hi, and jabbed the gas twice to get the truck to lurch a little. right after i did that i heard the 'Balt give two very loud revs, and the guy in the Stang had a look of "this is gonna be easy"

i notice the other lights are changing to red, so i start brake boosting. the light turns green and my foot slides off the left side of the brake pedal, causing a full boost 4 tire chirp. almost instantly i pull a 1 car lead, and hold on to that lead right up to 65mph. in my mirror i can see him slowly creeping up on me, with the Cobalt trying as hard as possible to not slam into the back bumper of the Mustang. i hit 70 and shut it down, with the Stang almost to the front of the bed. shut down because the road merges from two lanes to one.

i never really got to talk to the guys after that, the Stang just didn't let off the gas. the guy in the Cobalt slowed down and gave me a thumbs up though

What type of truck do you have? That's sad that the guy in the sixxer thought that he had something special and thought he had it easy. The Cobalt would easily tear him up unless he has FI, and apparently he didn't know what he was going up against in you. Good Kill

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, 6.6 Duramax/Allison. weighed in at 8093lbs with me in the drivers seat and a full tank of diesel

and fazm, i had figured that your favorite kills would be Vette's and Vipers, some of the high end stuff, not a lowly old diesel

here's a pic of the old beast:
