First time at the track EVER!
NT555's are not NT555R's. Hes running street tires not drag radials. And the MPH might be down because he, like myself, is running a convertible and a heavier weight. So that might account for some loss of MPH. Mustangman, congrats man. I hope to have some times close to yours sometime soon. What launch and shift rpm's were you using???
My car's a manual. But i would get the jump outta the hole on every car i ran against...but id just start to spin a little when id leave. Yeah im hopin to get some LTs and gears and get this car into the 13s
Haha yea the hardest part is gettin my dad to let me spend the money on it.
My buddy took some vids of my runs...he's comin over today imma save them to my cpu and ill post some runs. It was crazy runnin w/ cobras a GTOs and kinda keepin up, also racing a 5.0 cougar and beatin him by .0074 sec!!! lol that was crazy.

You don't need gears and LT's to get 13's.
I'd say seat time would get you there, and if not, very close.
Then, before the power mods, get DR's, then you'll be in teh 13's for sure.
THEN do power mods....or, just do them all at the same time.

I drive my car in the rain too much to put on drag raidals for dd use. But if i found a set of like 17" wheels and put some DRs on them could i run them at the track w/ my 18s in front??? Might be a dumb question.
^ It would be easy to find a pair of used rims for the track at a reasonable coin, and yes you can still run the 18"s up front. Some on V6 or GT rims, 15" or 16" would be what I would look for... Some 5 spoke 16" off a 94-98 GT would be perfect to mount some 255/50/16 BFG drags or M/T ET streets on. It would be a few tenths taller than the stock tires for your car, but nothing to worry about.

Nice times for a first visit. Thursday was my first evar track day visit. Not my last, thats for sure.
Your numbers look better than mine. I couldn't get past 2.4 60'. My best my first time was 9.4 at 79 mph. 1/8th mile.
I have yet to run a 1/4 mile.
