98 gt 1/8
i talked to one of my friends tonight that went to my old highschool he has a 98gt mods: 70mm tb, CAI, u/d pulleys, o/r X-pipe, 30 series flows, racing clutch (dont know what kind) and 3.55's his best time is a 9.4 in the 1/8 mile is that pretty good? he took me for a ride tonight and it felt really strong we were gonna race but too many cops and cars around i was wondering how i would do against that i figure i would beat being a 98 but that car felt really strong espcially in 2nd i was wondering how those times are for a 98 and what i should hope for im going to the track w/him week after next so we will see what i can do but what should i hope for
If u can drive, thats no contest. Your car will run 9.4 stock. I ran a 8.8 with a 1.931 60ft. I have stock tires doing a second gear burnout with 15psi in the tires. on the street from a stop, it might be closer. If u heat the tires up good, you can spank him. if you go from a roll, you will take him. BTW who puts 3.55 in a car?!
thanks man about the 3.55's they were on the car when he bought it plans on putting 3.73's on soon i guess it was that racing clutch in it in second that thing threw me back really hard thats what scared me but overall i could tell i was faster but if i run around 9 ill be happy thanks for the help
It always always seems faster when ur not driving. or it does to me. I rode with my buddy in his stang last night and he ran like a 9.9 and i thought that was blazing until i saw the slip. then i let him have it. his 9.9 to my 8.8 hmmmmmm maybe these mods have finally paid off.
