However, about the blower comment, it doesn't take anything more than the basic bolt ons, gear swap, and tune on the Stang to even the duel. Start arguing mod for mod, and it will be a never ending discussion.

very very true with all statements...my point is power for power the mod motor will always win...a 350rwhp mod motor in the stang will keep up with the 400-even 450 pushrod power all day long...ford doesnt need the big cubes to keep up

Sure if you are short sided enough to think that the engine has everything to do with a cars performance. Put an equal power pushrod in your car and see what happens with the lighter engine and broader powerband.

My car put down 296 rwhp and runs 12.7s @ 109, stock converter and 2.73 gears, full weight (testing the Draglites and suspension stuff on Tuesday, hoping for a new best depending on weather ).

Really?

I did run a 12.76 @ 108.88 with those #s...I dont see any stock camaros running that

ummm all of you!! especially with the comments of the S197s wont stand a chance without a blower...my point is that statement is wrong
Thanks for lumping us all blindly into a big group...your biased words speak loudly.

oh sorry my "close to 4000lbs" wasnt correct in your 38xx~39xxlbs
Sorry I don't believe in marginalizing information.

and yes I do know some people hate the way the mustang looks or will bash it as well or whatever...thats why I started my statement with "in my opinion" pretty sure I have the right to state mine...btw why are you posting in a Mustang Forum?! just wondering...go back to ls1tech
This speaks volumes for you.

Far from 16 but I agree with you about the model year changes but even in your sig:
2001 Z28 M6 - 13.1 @ 108mph 2.1 60ft / Bone Stock
3600lbs Race / 3440lbs Curb
322rwhp/341rwtrq (1LE Springs/FRA)

your cars curb weight is only 3440lbs... compared to the "close to 4000lbs" of the new thats pretty light...
Still marginalizing... 3849 vs 3440 is 409lbs difference.. still doesn't make my car light compared to a Corvette, Foxbody, etc... the 3,540lb curb weight of the S197 makes the difference a massive 309lbs. I guess I don't see the issue here....

Forget the blower. Learn to drive first if you wanna go fast!

Of course it is. Only a fanboy cannot relize this.

Funny as hell. Maybe sig worthy.

And Morbid wonders why I'm mean to the new people. Please tell me why every person with less that 200 Posts wants to remind everyone this is a Mustang forum and they nead to leave if they don't drive a Mustang or happen to agree with the Mustang fan boys???

Good luck with the new set-up.

Has anyone popped a new camaro motor with a blower/nitrous on top yet? I'm curious to see how far people are trying to push the stock motor.

Whats the fastest 1/4 mile for them to date (modded)?

The roush supercharger setup on an S197 would be a great match for a stock 2010 camaro.

-Bolt Ons-
1. OrangeChevy - 11.83 @ 116 mph, (LT, Exhaust, CAI, Tune, Skinny's, Drag Radials), (LS3, M6)

-Power Adder-
1. OrangeChevy - 10.96 @ 124. 93 mph, (Nitrous/150 shot, LT, Exhaust, CAI, Tune, Skinny's, Drag Radials), (LS3, M6)

This is the fastest that I am aware of.
