Has anyone popped a new camaro motor with a blower/nitrous on top yet? I'm curious to see how far people are trying to push the stock motor.
Whats the fastest 1/4 mile for them to date (modded)?
The roush supercharger setup on an S197 would be a great match for a stock 2010 camaro.
Not sure about the L99 concerning how far it has been pushed. The LS3 limits should be an easy one to find out about since its been in the Vette for awhile now.
wouldnt a good suspension setup and full bolt on ( with DR's too) S197 keep up with/ beat a new camaro on the strip?
btw im just curious as to what you guys think it would take, thats what i tihnk it would.
It doesn't take full bolt ons. Full bolt ons, suspension, and some tires will/can embarrass a stock SS pretty bad, LS3 or L99.
What BB said would do the job, as well as several other combos. My mess should be about even with an LS3 (side by side at the same track, same conditions, etc) and pull on an L99. I have a custom tune, 4.10s. UD pulleys, LCAs, CL intake, STS, and Mac mufflers. My problem is these street tires, so some good rubber would leave me way more than confident.
I'm very curious as to how well the new SS responds to mods. We all know that the LS3 engine responds well, but how well will it do on the SS platform. The L99 is another one I'm wondering about. Its well known that the S197 responds very well to about every bolt on with the exception of LTs. Hopefully, the SS will impress as well.
