What are the best tires to have at the track other that slicks.what size for 17"s and what prices for a pair of them. thanks, can't wait to get some traction when going down the track to see what my car can really do.

ya bfg's are about the best drag radials, unless you want to go with mickey et streets. nittos last alot longer but dont hook up as well. I wouldnt worry about what size works best but what is the biggest you can get for whatever wheels you have available. Plus what sizes will fit in your wheel well. With mustangs they have a tendency to hit the exaust pipes in the back where they cross over the axle. The biggest you can fit on a 8" rim (stock) is about a 275/40/17 which is even a little big for a 8" rim.

oh yeah you can expect to pay around $165 a tire give or take a couple bucks for brand, size, and differnt deallers.
