Takedown count as a kill?
You almost can't pay me enough money to go to Charlotte. The crime is crazy.
I think cops do an amazing job for no more money than they make. When I started going to school for criminal justice, the top pay for a State Trooper was in the $45k'ish range. I was shocked at how little they make/could make. I mean, that's decent pay in this area, but ****, you're getting shot at.
Those guys really have to love their jobs to do it for such little money. I'm proud of them and treat them with the upmost respect.....most of the time.

I know im late on this but with the guys saying its reckless yea but its at night and not many people out. You guys know damn well if this was you you would chasing the dude down because ive been ran off the road before and it the guy ran and totaled my car cause messed up whole front axle on curb and was fortune it enough to avoid hitting a pole at 50mph. The cops dont do **** but write paper work they can care less and if they didnt take action then the guy could have possibly killed someone in the future. So stop being a little girl and say "oh thats wreckless" just shut up its beyond that trust me ive seen **** before because of people like that and actually adrenaline raises your senses.
Nice Kill S8ER. Definitely a kill in my book. I agree with what you did. It would be different if it was crowded out, or you guys were blowing through redlights and shat, but it sounds like you did what you felt like you needed to do to get that a-hole's info. A tag number goes a long ways and gives officers valuable info like names, addresses, phone numbers, insurance info, etc. I know I'm preaching to the choir saying this, but be careful boxing people in like that, man. Everybody reacts differently and lots of people are armed..
No thats a very good point... which is why I was sitting in reverse when my buddy pulled in front of him. Not much I could have done if they were armed though... I guess at that point we both had a medic with us in case the other person took a bullet and county had the plate number. That could have ended much worse now that you mention it.
its NOT reckless?
I'm sure if when you "blocked the road" if he T-boned you, KILLED YOU. it would be a different story about how reckless it was.
I would do the same if my girlfriend got hit. but im just saying it was stupid.

To be fair the road was not blocked by me the first time and it was at a stop sign when my friend 'parked' in front of the guy. I don't think the court would rule in this guys favor in any situation.
Also the term is up for interpretation... spinning your tires (even a chirp) can result in a reckless driving ticket yet some would never consider that to be reckless.
The officer who arrived on scene didn't see it as reckless so monday morning quaterbacking it is of little bearing.
That assbag called my Asst. Cheif and Chief yesterday..had to sit through an officers meeting last night.
Can't wait to run into the guy now... no doubt he will jump me about it.
