Default Help a newb out

Can someone tell me what it is I'm missing here?

http://www.maecforum.com/1-4-mile-re...p-12s-t182.htm

Why the difference in trap on these two slips? Similar ET, 60', and 330' times. 1/8th mph also similar. One run appears to produce a 6mph gain in trap on the big end yet the ET is almost identical between the two.

I'm confuseded..

And yet the ET remains almost the same? Just having trouble wrapping my head around this one.

air resistance combined with a bit of braking can really slow down a car FAST from those speeds

he had to let off. the diff in the traps on the fist slip is 24.5 mph on the second its only 16.35, with the 1/8 mph higher for the second pass, he was on pace to make a faster pass but let out.
