Default COLLEGE PROJECT, NEED DATA!!!

Hey everyone,

I'm a Economics's major @ Rutgers, NJ. I some how talk my professor, who is the Dean of the Econ dept, into letting me do my final research paper on 1/4 mile drag racing. Its pretty much going be a relationship between money spent vs. how fast the cars go. Anyway, I just need a few questions answered if you don't mind.

1.) Make/model?

2.) Year

3.) F/I?

4.) Money invested into vehicle?

5.) Size/Type of engine?

6.) Current 1/4 time?

7.) Best 1/4 mile time?

Thanks guys, The reason why I ask for "current" is because I'm going be going to Atco soon and I want the times they ran that day and their best.

If you want to give me your last track time and your best that's fine, however, what you have is fine.

Also stk, Can I have your Investment(mods) price separate from the price of your stang please?

There are way too many external variables that are going to taint your data if you're asking such a broad population what they run vs. what they spent. I'm not sure how you're planning on accounting for them.

Hehe, I said taint.

In real life, Its all most impossible. You would have to take into account weather, DA level, driver, track conditions, wind, humidity, temp, and those our just external variables that can effect the 1/4 time w/ out getting into the cars factors. The another problem you have is more external variables you have, bigger the sample size you must use.

But bottom line is my paper and research will show a linear correlation between how much money people put into their cars and how fast they are.

Also, I don't have to use all the data I'm collecting; most likely I will not use make/model, but its nice to know and I could end up using if I want to change my direction of my paper. Maybe I'll show some statistics that show FORD > ALL. LOL

AND don't forget WRX, I'll take your data too.

your data should show the older the car the better performance:money spent ratio...

Mustang GT, 2007, no, 25,000 purchase, 2,000 mods, (-200 if you exclude appearance), 4.6L 3v SOHC, last 1/4 mile time was 14.1, best was 13.5.. no change in mods, just change in DA, corrected down to the same time.
