On my way home tonight I scored two notches in my bed post. I rolled up to a red with a Camaro SS(+/- 2002?)in the left lane, and an Integra with the body kit and huge wing in the middle, and put myself in the right lane. About a hunderd yards past the 6 lane intersection the far right lane(mine) ends.

Left turn light goes green, I feel my blood pressure spike, my feet are tingling. I swear I love this feeling, heart pounding, light turns green and I wake up in to the world that no one else seems to understand. @2000 rpm and my clutch comes out my tires spin for just a second then the contact patches do their job and I get slammed back in my seat. I feel like a warrior. I slip the stick back in to second as I slide in to the middle lane car lengths ahead of the ricetegra and when I look a little left I see the Camaro in my rearview. I catch the next red and on my left is my pal Camaro I see a thumbs up, when this light goes red He tears off but I have to play conservative because my apartment is on the corner.

So heres my question, because i know jack about cars, can a stock '94 GT beat a 2002 Camaro SS. I think not but I havent done any thing to my car but replace a harmonic balancer, and the prev owner didn't describe any engine mods (just cosmetics to make a cobra copycat.)

 

Haha no way man the SS would own you if you are stock ....you would have to have a pretty good amount of mods to run with an SS, it might have been an RS or a sixer IMO but who knows the owner before you might have somethin under the hood but it better be good to run with that guy

 

Thats what I thought. I know thats a more powerful motor. I think he may have been toying with the integra, or missed a shift, he could have fake decals but two copycats at one light???? I don't know but I really smoked the integra and was ahead of the camaro as well.

I wish I knew something about motors Id love to go find Im driving the most modded '94 gt in town.

no argument here. The thing is I usually do well against other V8s. I race anyone who wants to I lose a bit, but against z28s I'm probably 60/40 W/L If I lose its by a fender not a car length. And the fox body mustangs with all kinds of stickers ( I equate this to performance mods) in the window around here 1 or 2 have really blown past me but the others Im probably 50/50. Im way better against asian importsa few have torn me up but most just get sucked up.

So I guess where would I take my car to find out what has been done to it???

And I know off the second line even if I had got on it that take off would have killed me, that ss was going FAST

 

if you have a stock 94 gt- hell, i could beat you

take pics of you car's engine bay and under the car and the members here can tell you what they see.

I am stupid, well uneducated, in this area but there isnt anything that obvious in there. I mean I would know If I had a supercharger( I hope) but heads, headers (those are two differnt things right) cams, exhaust in take all that stuff I have no F'ing clue.
