Me and Josh (stangpower97 here on MF) were leaving a gas station one day when this V6 with dual exhaust and Z28 badges reved up at us. Needless to say, I turned around to see if he wanted to run. He said, "sure." I asked him how much he wanted to run for, he said he didn't care. So I told him $200, just to make it fun. He then said he's running NAWWWWZZ. I was like, "ok." Then he said that he couldn't run me b/c I had NAWWWWZZZ too that I was hiding from him. He wanted my phone number so he could go home and get his other Camaro to wax my ***. He never called.

wayleft-My car has the same engine as the SS with some mods 
. Now to be honest I hardly ever think about racing stock GTs, LT1s or hell even stock LS1s because its no contest. However if I see someone in one of those cars gettin on it or trying to show off in front of me I usually go and put them in their place. Thats is probably what he did just as others have said. But hey you have a great foundation to work with and there are alot of aftermarket mods available. Good luck with your car.

Hope you weren't racing on Blackstone or Shaw mah friend. Cops everywhere.
I usually take it to Herndon or Friant. Both great wide open roads to speed on.
BTW, where in Fresno are you? I go to Clovis West.

yeah, I feel less than authentic in my "cobra" but from what Ive read the '94 was only about 20hp more than the GT.

but the GT has roughly the same potential as the cobra, right. I just need to get educated and do some work and spend some money?

Its a lot more than 20. SVT said its HP actually around 280. The 240 number that they give out was an underrated number. The Cobra has the GT40 heads, Cobra upper (same as gt40), GT40 lower, 24# injectors, 1.7RR's, and a Cobra specific cam. I sure hope a H/C/I 5.0 would run better than 240 HP .

Good kill but the SS would easily take you.
From your pics I think that is possibly a TrickFlow intake that you have there possibly. From the pics it would be next to impossible to tell you the heads and cams. You can't see them.
Def. start to do some serious mods on your car and keep killin the ricers.
