I'll give you a clue, it's a hell of a lot longer than you think, and MUCH farther than you can see at night.
I see what your saying . but im pretty positive I could have it stopped in a mile ! because I did !! and on this road i would see head lights well over a mile. at which point I would have aborted

something that fell off a truck, a stalled vehicle, an animal crossing the road, etc.

By the time you see it, its already too late.

No reason to get your panties in a bunch, are you surprised that you received other people's opinions when you posted something online?

OP, screw everyone's criticisms. I'm sure you have a brain to know when and where it's safe to drive fast. That's one sweet 4.0 and one heck of a job with the go fast goodies. Rock on.

LOL well I guess I'm just as retarded as you are. I've spooled my Neon up to 175MPH on RT. 1! I try not to get to preachy about these kinda threads because I'm pretty sure everyone thats posted has exceded the posted speed limit by double at one time or another. I mean you hit something at 80 your probably just as dead as if you hit it at 160.

It's one thing to do a top speed run when there's nobody on the road, but to videotape a GPS of you doing it with the road names shown on it? LOL

I don't think anyone that's posted in this thread will try to get you in trouble, but don't think you cannot get in trouble.

And everyone knows the only possible objects on the road will have headlights!! om-gaw!!

yeah I get what your telling me , probably not the best decision , but with technolgy of today , I could just as easily faked this with computer generated graphics . b hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt that this actuaaly took place. and I guess if C.I.A. is looking at this ...I'm screwed !!!! lol . point takened , will take it into cosideration ,if it ever happens again

That is moving out for sure. I have never travelled faster than 135mph in the middle of butt screw Alberta, I came up on some trees off to the side of the road (of coarse there are no trees in the middle of the road duh) so I knew there would be a farm house so I let out of the gas and aborted any further high speed runs. High speed runs done in the safest manner possible with lots of thought to me is alright. On this occassion it was just me and my wife and with no kids we would have more than likely just kill ourselves=no harm no foul.

On a side note another spot or two for high speed runs would be Montana, North/South Dakota or Wyoming=lots of land not so many residents. You survived and no one was hurt in the making of the video lol
