I don't think he was really saying anything bad about them. I think he was just saying that by now most 5.0s haven't been taken care of and have seen better days. Most are in a pretty hagard position anymore unless someone has actually tried to keep thiers up. I could be wrong though.

i meant most in my area. the 5.0 is a great engine in terms of reliablility, but most of the bodies they sit in are going to junk
