Default Ran a 66-67 chevelle/malibu....

Hey whats up guys, I dont do much posting here at MF but when I do get a chance to run a well built car, Ill stop in and post up what happened.... I hate to say I had my Go-Pro cam in the car but didnt have enough time to turn it on and Im not sure how it would work at night... Oh well.... Anyway..

So last night Im going out to meet up with afew buddys. I met a friend of mine and he jumps in my car to head to grab afew beers.... On our way, out of a light I kinda get on the gas in 1st and quick shift to 2nd, just to show my bud how my exhaust sounds now after doing the motor swap and adding LT's. At the next light I hear something rev up behind me, and it sounded just as wicked as my car.... I look in the rear view and see these 2 massive HID lamps.... At this point, Im not even sure wtf is behide me haha. Well, I move over into the middle lane so he can get next to me and I see its a 66-67 chev/malibu... Beautiful car, completely done up and near stock looking besides the massive HID's. Even the rear tires looked stock.... Anyway, I notice this thing can barely idle at lights, sounds awsome... Well, finally we hit a huge opening on a 2 lane high way, and we have at it....
Im in 3rd gear around 4k and he hits its next to me.... He instantly pulls a good 1/4 car on me and I couldnt close it for all of my 3rd gear! So now i got the on my face and Im preparing for a lose.... I then hit 4th, to the floor and was able to close the 1/4 gap, and at about 5k-5.5k rpm I had a 1/4 on him and slowly pulling away.... Then we shut down with him continuing going on ahead, he didnt want to chill and chat after that haha... Christ, that car was fast.... Deff toke me by surprise and deff a 11 sec car.... After that, I look over to my boy and say "Thank god I put those LT's in haha" Cant wait to turn the boost up on this thing in july....

Im still wondering what he had done to it.... I know it most likey has some serious heads and a cam from listening to it idle at a red light.... he actually had to give it gas abit to keep it from stalling.... Id bet its prob a 396 with heads/cam and other goodies..... All I know is the guy was out for blood, no one with a car like that is gonna joy ride at 11:30 at night haha... I kinda have a idea where he might be from... Ill keep my eye out for him, maybe get a mod list

Thanx guys

Man, that Chevy sounds like a beast. He prolly is a die hard Chevy fan. Idk, some people are just like that for whatever reason and take it personal. Oh well, good kill!

Nice kill! Those are great looking cars, I've definitely seen a lot them over the years with wicked engine combos. The 60's GM muscle must be pretty busy lately, as I ran a a C2 Vette this weekend, just started a thread about it actually.
