Micky Thompson ET Street Radial. Comes in a 17 inch and is the best drag radial on the market. Wear on the street is not that good but you should be able to 3-5000 miles depending how you treat them.

Thats a good tire as well, it's just not a radial. not sure if it is offered in a 17" either

You will hook better on a tire that has a taller sidewall, so getting a second set of smaller diameter rear wheels is a good way to go plus then you won't be putting as many street miles on them. As far as wear goes, that the trade off for having a tire that hooks. The BFG Drag Radial lasts longer than the M/T and the Nitto lasts the longest (but hooks the worst). Price range is about $130 or so per tire.
