Ran my co-worker to the bank this afternoon, and on the way a debadged 335i rolled up beside us and punched it, his turbo spool was very pronounced. Sounded sick, but let me know it wasn't stock either, lol. I honestly hadn't even noticed him until he did so, but none the less, when he punched it his front end kicked up and he left us....so I crept back up to him. Got to his rear bumper, downshifted to 2nd, (the 335 anticipated me and slowed down to 30ish), and as soon as I got even with him he gassed it, as did I. He put his rear bumper at my front bumper from the get go since he got the hit, but by 60 I was even with him. By 80 his front bumper was at my rear bumper and we both had to get on the brakes due to traffic.

What was done to that 335 to pull so good? Intake/tune? I've heard they pick up ridiculous gains from a tune, like 75 rwhp ridiculous..

My old rt Dakota was trapping 108-109 and it would barely beat an intake/tune 335i from a 50 roll and the 335i had an ok driver. With a great driver I might have been screwed.

 

I got beat by a Stage 3 335i on meth by .2 in the 1/8mi last night. It was close enough to be a drivers race. Ran him twice with him getting the holeshot with same results and still .2. Good kill brother.

Normally a 335i is a joke. I have no idea what a Stage 3 is. That is just what the driver told me.

Good kill bro!!! My only experiences with a 335inice was in the 1/4 when my car was slow lol i ran a 13.45@102 i treed him good and he came flying by me at the 1000'garilla mark went 12.96@112 in 95* weather at 2700 da.

Only visual mods was lowered big wheels and wxhaust. Im sure it was intake tune exhaust. If 97you could the video he might could post it.

 

Nice win. My buddy has an 08 335Xi that traps 122. (bigger turbos)But those things gain a lot from simple things like a tune.

 

It's my first encounter with one directly. He had to be around 110 mph car cause in a 50mph span all I did was move my front bumper from his rear bumper to putting his front at my rear. Looked like he hit his power instantly judging by the way his front end lifted immediately. Would love to own one of those cars.

Those are some pretty mean cars! I ran into one within the first couple of weeks of owning my car, the darn thing smoked the doors off of me haha.

Good kill Stone. I also ran one about 4 mths ago. Completely stock and he did alot better than what I thought he would. Those cars (even in stock form) are pretty fast and I could just imagine with some bolt on's how fast they would/could be..What did your co-worker say to you after the race??
