ls1 highway race, first random race in a while
stone i'm thinking this ported blower will be going on this upcoming weekend if i have time :P. there's a certain mustang around town i would like to race and as of now i dont see me winning as is.
Welllll, back to the drawing board. Going to ditch this OEM catback, that'll give me another 15 or so with my setup. It's holding me back more than I thought it would. Other than that, I'm not sure what to do to even it back out.
How big of a gain are you looking at by porting?
prolly not much to be honest, as i'm still going to be on the stock throttle body for a while since i cant afford 500 for a nice single blade/plenum setup. I'm gonna guess i'll be aorund 475whp after the blower, until i add a better tb/plenum, and oversize lower then it'll be over 500.
Thats still about 70-75 more than I'll be making with a cat-back. I guess my car is a good bit lighter than yours which will help a lot, but still. I'm going to track it not this weekend, but next, so we should have a much better idea on everything.
Only because its been in the high 90s too 100 degrees. Was going to go this Friday regardless, but its my 10 year anniversary so unless I want a divorce, I better not, lol. Think I'm going to have a magnaflow welded in this weekend and then hit it next Friday night. Only other option is running the 1/8th this thursday.
What about you, when are you going?

I won't be going for a while. Not until after myrtle anyways, all my pennies are going to that trip. I've really had no ambition to go to the track at all this summer. I think it's because now there's been a lot more cars out on Friday and sat nights so I get to play with all them when I want to race.
My buddy just went and got his evo tuned, 608awhp on a mustang dyno, 9300 rpm 40psi thru a gt35. It's friggin intense. I was behind him the other night and watched him pull hard on a cbr600, until his cac tube blew off lol.
