OOPS! My bad. I don't know about cages and dconvertables. Try www.nhra.org. or .com. They should have ther ruls there. MOST tracks abide by NHRA rules. And, ROTM is correct. Current snell rating is 1999. BUT 2005 comes out in OCT. My car club told me to hold off til then, cus the 1999's will be dirt cheap after OCT. But the 1999's will still be good for another 5 years. Or so they told me anyway.

 

IHRA is slightly more lenient and many tracks have gone to their rules because of that

03YellowPony, you have a 70 charger? I'd say that's the best year by far of the chargers. What kind of motor does it have in it?

 

Had one. Sold it. It had a 440 magnum cammed and ported. Holley 750 dbl pumper, edelbrock intake. Hedman headers, torquflight 727 built...We dynoed it at 624 RWHP. When I brought it home, first off, I layed rubber around the main block of Mt Ranch..then met up with a vette. I passed him, then he geared down..Poor guy. He had to stop at the side of the road to pick up his doors. Cus I blew them clean off! LOL
It was SubLime colored with a huge black scoop. SubLime is sort of a neon green. If someone didn't like the color, we called it F**k you green!

 

Here's the only pic I have of her. Lost a lot of pics when I moved. It was taken from a hilltop in the Oakland hills. God I miss that car!
