Default 2001-03 Mustang GT bad driver!

So I am messing with my new Tranzformer shift kit, and my damn battery on the lap top dies before am able to see exactly where all my shift points are at!

I go for a test drive anyways, and low and behold.. it runs like crap in autostick. Drive works just fine. I cruise a bit a see a nice looking white drop top Mustang GT. I make the same turn he is and get gooses it going into the lane!

I follow suit. At the next light, I rev at him and he does the same.. Light turns green and we both nail it! I instantly jump a car.. then two.. then three... it ends up with me being about 5-6 cars ahead

I instantly slow down due to traffic coming up by a far.. that goof ball plows straight ahead and nearly wrecks! I leave him alone at this point and follow along. The next light, he mis-reads it and ends up launching into a red light! Not only that but he goes sideways and nearly wrecks his car! If I had launched at the same time, his front end would have bashed right into my rear fender!

At this point, I want nothing to do with that lunatic so I head home

I re-loaded the tune configuration via lap top and damn 12 ft. extension cord.. my damn settings were at 20/99!!!!? wtf?!

I cranked it up and saved it. Battery dying must have wiped out the memory.

I beat that dude on level 20/99.. imagine 99/99

I go for another test drive and it easily feels like I gained about 15-16whp just from adjusting the settings correctly.. wtf!?

Anywho.. some people really don't have any business street racing if they can't even get the proper damn etiquette down!!!

I hear you, it is scary street racing because you never can tell their skill level. What tuner you using?

Good kill man! Glad to hear it was a dig too even though your setting was way off.

I hate idiots that try to street race and they dont have any common sense about it. I did have have one run where the dumb a$$ plowed into another car. Needless to say not too proud to tell that story.

Guy sounds like a clown for sure, someone needs to get him some keys for a Honda.

The dodge is turning out to be quite the formidable machine.

How you liking it compared to the stang? you ever miss the old car?

Put a beating on that GT!
That guy sounds like a complete idiot. Street racing can be relatively safe long as everyone drives like you did and knows when to stop.

Revise that to skills.......asshats like that are a menace.

Nice kill, it's a good thing he jumped like that so we aren't reading about the guy who turned it sideways into you.

Ditto.. that car was clean as hell too.. soo sad he drove it like he just didn't give a fvck about it

I am using both the Diablo Intune and Tranzformer shift kit. The TZ is cool because I can adjust shift firmness for upshifts/downshifts independently as well as a bunch of other cool features (launch control, burn out mode etc.). I was messing with the kit and the damn battery died on my laptop!

Thanks. It was a clean heads up race. He wasn't able to hook up for sure. Eventhough the settings were off on the TZ, I still had plenty of back up lol (Diablo/Mopar TCM FTW )

Yeah, I feel ya. That sucks about a$$hats that have no common sense about respecting speed like that. Totally ruined my night! I just headed home, even though everyone stays out past 2am. It was 12:45 or so lol. It also sucks because me and my girl always drive home at that road (about 1/4 mile long between lights! rofl). I was worried about the cars in front of us parked at the next light, even though it was quite a bit away.. he plowed on through past me once I braked.

lol that's for sure. Or a Kia. For some reason I still see him losing control of that car as well, but maybe at 20mph rofl

The Dodge is bad a$$. So many things to do to it! The transmission is what amazes me most about it. Pretty much make it shift at lightning speed if I wanted to, and the AWD is impressive with so much torque off the line. I'll try and make a video of it when I can.

I can also do a simple regrind cam swap and gain about 25whp or do a full top end kit with headers and gain about 100whp or more

I still miss the Mustang because I had many years with it, but it was getting worse and worse up here for the winter and I can only afford one car, letting alone modding it lol

As far as comparison, it feels totally different because even though I have nowhere near as much power (340ish' vs 450-500 depending on octane/tune).. I have TRACTION and a higher top speed (160 vs 130 due to gearing)

Thanks!

Ditto.. plenty of room to slow down. He had no business keeping on like that, especially from as far back as he was. Maybe he thought he was reeling me in??

That launch at the red light he did was epic though... Epic fail!

Ditto. I can read lights pretty well.. and I knew for sure it wasn't gonna be our green. I just let him have the spot light rofl

I'd be pi$$ed if that idiot hit me. Luckily, I'd already be two cars ahead if it had been a green light

On a side note, I saw my buddies 11 second EVO 8 being pulled onto a tow truck at a StarBucks parking lot, across from where everyone parks to meet up.

His buddies in a Cobra and other Evo's were also parked there helping him out. Now THAT car is quick.. I just hope he didn't blow his motor!

That's true comradery right there. I think he was racing the Cobra.. it was still in one piece and running rofl
