can i win?
yea I am sorry you are right the 04 is when the 3.9 was introduced not 03. and yea here are some stats
A 3.9 L (238 inł) 12-valve version with 3.8 in (96.5 mm) bore and 3.46 in (87.9 mm) stroke was introduced in 2004. It had a one-year run in the Mustang before it was replaced by the 4.0 L Cologne OHC engine.
From looking at the ford website, the mustang with a 3.9L OHV 12V V6 (2004 model) has 193 horsepower at 5500 RPM, torque at 225lb-ft at 2800RPM.
So the 3.9 has a LITTLE more power than the 3.8

well not that this is 200 pounds but it is a 238ci and the 3.8 is 232 so that is prolly a VERY SMALL reason and maybe some other smaller options or something never know or it could be because the stock V6 rims on the 2000 were 15's and the stocks on the 2004 I think are 16's thats weight everything adds up.
