Ok, I've never been to the strip. My friends are trying to get me to go and race a guy who has a '99 Eclipse 4 cyl. turbo. Think I can beat him? Also, what kind of times do you think I can get? My is Automatic, though.

 

If yours was a manual I would say you should maybe hold even or win... but with a auto I have my doubts on your car race either way for the fun of it

yea maybe he does thats bout what the V6 Gt eclipse has maybe a lil more but I beat one with my car and my car is a V6 manual 2000.

Is the ecplise manual?

 

this is a harder to deside race then some, it should be the drivers best, dont spin off the line if racing from a stand still or it will be over for you, my experience is it is better to grandmother off the line then to spin

I agree with livin it is a drivers race and since you have a auto hold the brake rev her up til she is almost ready to break loose and let off the break and punch it from a stand still or if from a roll see what you can do about manual auto shifting

stock or damn close to auto 3.9 prolly high 15's low 16's maybe if you are lucky mid 15's
