So my brother has a 1999 camaro SS. He has a full exhuast system but everything else is stock. My 98' cobra has K&N FIPK, off road H, and SLP LM1's. When I race him i actually lose by a couple carlenghts. What do ya'll think i need to beat him??

Nitrous alone would do the trick. but without an actual poweradder, ur gonna have a pretty tough time. If u are talking about ur car being faster than him. you can beat him in a race w/o being faster.Is his car auto or 6speed? A camswap would probably do the trick also. Its all gonna cost u $$$. Full exhaust and pullies might put you just shy of the LS1 imo. JD you are giving Mustangs too much credit
. Those things would help but I would also do a gear swap. With what you have, pullies, a gear swap, and headers you might be able to take him out if he stays with just full exhaust. His car could very well be in the high 12s if he can drive though. Boost will def. get you the victory.

I did mean he needed all the mods I listed and then he might be compititon. 99 LS1's did not come with the better LS6 intake manifold, but if the car has full exhuast it should be a high 12 car with good traction.

Yea well I did'nt want to start a war I did mean he needed all the mods I listed and then he might be compititon. 99 LS1's did not come with the better LS6 intake manifold, but if the car has full exhuast it should be a high 12 car with good traction.
