Default First run

The first one in my (not quite yet) Shelby. The builder tagged a different car accidently which means he didn't have the title from the state yet, so, the bank wouldn't cut him a check. I was going to pick it up yesterday, but, will have to do it next week. So......I stopped by and took it for a spin today. As I was pulling out of his lot an STI with big wing, fatter tires, and fart can blew by me and thank my lucky stars we were both headed to the highway. He was in front and getting on 169 there was no traffic and he wanted to play I ran him from 20 to a little better than 100. I knew better to stab it at that speed and rolled into it, so, he got about a car length jump. After that I am quite pleased to say that I completely butt hurt him with the......dare I say it.....bus lengths win. Ok maybe only a bus and half

I have no idea what his mods were, but, I know it sounded good. The mods on mine are 2012 GT500, 410 gears, Ford performance package, and Watts link, with 295/20 Toyo Proxys on it. I will update as soon as I find out exactly what he has done to it and will figure out how to post pics soon.

Impossible.

A Subby that exactly runs and doesn't leak oil? I don't believe it

Nice kill OP!

STi's are pretty quick cars for what they are, but expensive to make fast and are actually pretty delicate motors stock. You'd be surprised how many I see at the shop I work at with busted pistons/rods etc. with stock boost. Of course, a lot of the owners are younger guys that drive like it's the Fast & Furious..

Man, I love the 2011-12 GT500s. They are a nice median between a 5.0 and a brand new GT500. Good friend of mine runs his 12 a lot at the track. He has done a tune, pulley, cat-back, and a set if DRs. He runs pretty consistent 11.4s at 123-124. Anyway, nice kill on the STI. Always fun pulling on them.

Yeah, I have talked to the builder about getting some DRs for the track. 1st and 2nd are pretty unmanageable with street tires.

Awesome man! Congrats on the (soon to be yours) new car. After you get it we should meet up sometime for a friendly run.

This is the part that amazed me the most.

Sweet new ride you're getting. That's cool that they let you go drive it since they don't have the title situation worked out. I bet that thing feels good with those 4.10s, you were right to ease on the gas, hahah.

I was thinking the same thing Kerns.......even though you will certainly spank me **** with that setup.

Yeah, Will at Car F/X is great guy. He's the one who built my old Stangs, so, I have known him for years. This is his personal car. I learned very quickly to roll into anything in 1st and 2nd.....it still breaks loose if you WOT
