Hey all I finally got my first race from a dig and I won! I have done a couple pulls while rolling. None of them were "races". One was a friends truck that I didn't even realize was there till he was already going and the other was an srt8 mopar charger. We did a 35-70 pull real quick in town then we turned our separate ways.
It happened Wednesday night. I was headed home from work. The first thing I remember was this charger was on my left and I have seen it be fore at my college. 2008 dodge charger rt with the 5.7l and it's automatic. It has all these Daytona vinyl stickers on it and it's yellow. Anyway He's coming up on my left and there's a car blocking him so he gets behind me and gets back on my left. I see him and we are rolling about 45-50. I throw it in second and mash the gas. My engine is screaming. I'm pulling a little. Throw it to 3rd and pull more. I know I got him so I let up and coast to the stoplight. He passes me. We r at the stop light. I'm kinda looking over at him with my peripherals and watch the other stoplights and see them turn yellow. So I focus, rev it up to 2500ish, hold it. Green light. Up clutch, down gas and we r off. No traction control. No wheel spin. His borlas and my lt, o/h, and macs r roaring and bouncing off buildings. I fly through first, and we r even. I throw it in second and kick the pedal and pull hard. Then I shift to third and nail it. Pull more and let my revs rise and make a clear lead and let off. He lets off too. He then gets in front of me and turns right.
By the end I had him by 1/2-3/4 length.
Some kind of RUSH!
