wtf? i said the guy who had an auto changed to manual. when he changed to manual he gained 8 tenths not the other way around. the question i wanted you to answer was if you have ever seen it. i don't see how a car that traps 96-96 mph can run in the 13's unless he has a killer 60' but thats not really reasonable on street tires. so you claim you have seen your friend do it so thats what 1 person. theres 99-04 GT's running at the track with cat-back and intake and still running 14.5 on 2.2 60'. i don't think auto is better like you make it seem but to call me out and say im blind when i'll i made was a statement that i have not seen a 99+ 5 speed stock for stock run better than a 14.2 is retarded. so what are these guys nailing 1.7's on the crappy street tires ford gives ya???????????

 

I'll give you the edge, a lt1 in good condition should be a drivers race, i'm 3-1 vs. lt1's. Go race him and post the results, should be a good race wether you win or lose!

 

If these cars are both manuals then it should be a driver's race. Auto vs auto, I would give the edge to the LT1.

Thats strange, I have a 00 GT and my good friend just baught a 96 z28, all my friends dogged me into racing him, and finnaly the other night we did race. I seemed to have the upper hand but then again hes still new to the car and didnt launch. also has an auto trans. I completely dominated him from a stop and walked him pretty hard from about 40 roll. Im not a big Camaro buff but his car does have a LT1 in it right?
