Ive seen them on Ebay for like 6 or 7 k. Maybe thats new. I dont know, Ive just never heard that.

my buddy has a 2005 evo VIII and we race a few times for kicks and giggles. I have a 1997 GT 5 speed 99% stock. Blatantly he wins but I hold up pretty all right.
The main problem I run into is on the launch, he goes with the AWD while I leave a little smoke show before I go.
This however is not an even matched race, the EVO is the top of the line Lancer, and an 'even matched' race would be against a cobra (top line mustang). Certainly a cobra with a blower could hand an evo owners **** to him on a platter.
It should be known that this friend of mine had this car handed to him by his parents along with a few other high line cars. He uses ill-gotten money to fund mods.... ::sigh::

You will get him. People seem to give the Evos too much credit IMO. They are quick but they are not as fast as they are made out to be. I have never seen a stock break out of the 14s at the track I run at. Now I do think that they are capable of mid 13s but I just don't see low 13s in there. That is just my .02 though.
