The intentions of ford was to make something somewhat comparable to a corvette with handling and sportyness. They were not out to beat the corvette. Actually, the first couple of years of the stang were called "Secratery's Cars" by ford. and yes they were generally known as Pony Cars. Hell, the Stang was the FIRST Pony Car!

and yes, the first fast and the furious did have at least 5 civics in the movie, if u deny that u mustve not seen the movie. i think brian spooner was the one driving a civic..no wait it was a eclipse

What i dont like is the 6ers with the GT/Cobra bagdes and GT/Cobra bumpers. If u got a sixer that looks like a GT, but runs like a 6er, then you my freind are in a way a ricer.

You're sitting here dropping **** on the cheap and affordable model with the pony car name you love, just because it isn't a V8. Yet ironically with the gas crunch in the 70s and continuing through the 80s, your beloved V8 mustang might not even exist if it wasn't for this underdog you wish could have never existed.
