Newer M3

if you race a stock mustang gt on the interstate you will go faster if you leave it in 4th gear. i know it sounds harsh and you will push alot of RPM but some times you have to. my 93 GT will run 135 in 5th @ 3000 where the engine stops pulling but it will run 147 in 4th gear @ 5500.

I hit 7k+ rpms on a daily basis. I've also bumped up my limiter to ~7250 though =p

So at 1500 rpm you're doing 67 mph? That seems way too tall for any Mustang, sounds more like Viper gearing.
Anyway, back to V2GT, if your car makes 420 rwhp, you should take one easily, even those Dinan cammed and header M3s. There's a video of a stock Z06 (360 rwhp or so) pulling a Dinan M3 pretty bad.
yah..thats what I thought too, but I didnt have the 420hp tune on that nite so Im not entirely sure. I had some timing removed for daily driving plus was experimenting with added fuel. But still, those things make under 300 at the rear stock. The only problem now is I have to shift before the preset rpm limit Vortech has on the Predator (6200-6300). The M3 only stuck with me when I got into 5th. 4th pulled on him hard, but I had to shift at 6100 so I couldnt extend the gap before getting into 5th. I'm not sure how much boost I had at that time, but I do know that I get 9psi only after 5000rpm. Didnt have enough road to reach that on 5th to see how much farther I would have gotten.
