evos are POS
i saw two boken down the day. one still had the dealer plates and the other was being test driven. my cousins retard husband works over at a mitsu dealership and says they pop head gaskets like crazy if they have bolt-ons, he is the service manager so he gets to decide if it is under warranty or not. just thought i would pass that along. next time someone races a modded evo, it might not make it off the line
this sounds like fanboy nonsense to me...i know a few guys with evos (8s) with minor mods running in the 12s, and they havent had any issues, and there is a guy in pitsburgh named curt brown who has an all bolt-on evo, no internal work (and heavy weight reduction) running in the deep tens...while there are a fair share of rich boys in evos running mid 14s, missing every gear, they are fast when properly dealt with...keep in mind, ive seen plenty of 14 second newer GTs, and a few high 13 second 03+ cobras...
like i said before, dislike and jealousy are easily picked apart.

im not denyin that thoes are crap but here a PURDUE a guy has one and he drives it year around it has many mods. it runs strong, and i rode with him it corners like a go kart, so i dont think all of them are ****.most are though

Same could be said for Mustangs, mine had a few problems 'off the lot' within the first couple thousand miles. Plus with all the recalls and TSB's on these cars. It's a wonder it's lasted me 93K without any real problems after those first couple K miles.

my parents owned an old mitsubishi raider. That thing was a mess of trouble.
It was always overheating.
In the summer we had to drive with the windows down and the heat on.
Then eventually the engine blew.
Oh and my mitsubishi tv broke lol
after that pos i have no trouble beliving the evos. I will never even consider buying a mitsu
plus didn't the new eclipse have brake failure issues?
problems with my mustang-
brushes wore down on the convertable top motor.
back windows don't work anymore
locks don't work at the moment
cruise control dosn't work
and the alternator went 2 months ago.
after 17 years and just about 150000 miles, All i have to say is "Built Ford Tough"

Speaking of problems, I had to get my power steering pump replaced after about 26K miles.

i drive a mitsu, and while it is certainly no 12 second car, it was on the drag strip four days after i got it new, and has made many slow runs since then. it was on an autoX course about 2 weeks after i got it..it has made countless trips from PA to NC, and from PA to MI with no issues...i got in new in june of 2002, and i have put about 55000 hard miles on it. the only things i have changed:
-front and rear motor mounts were changed to solid mounts.
-4 sets of tires
-2 sets of front pads (still stock rotors and rear pads)
-the exhaust was removed the day after i got it for custom exhaust, as was the intake.
-changed the plugs and wires at 30k or so
-oil changes every thousand miles until around 42000 (i got free oil and filters for the first few years that i had it)
-1 set of wipers
i have heard of countless problems from others who drive the same car as myself, liek broken sunroof, broken adjustable steering, suspension issues, but i have had none of them, and while i take very good care of my car, it does face hard driving. after this winter i plan on changing the suspension as a preventative issue, as well as the rotors.
i also have a 1989 lebaron vert, and although i blew the tranny trying to do burnouts, i can jump it, and the top, and all of the windows will go up and down...
