My mods are only a k&n filter and flowmaster 10 series mufflers. He has exhaust, intake, and lowered with short shifter I believe. We have a 1/8 mile track here, and he said he runs low 9's consistently. But I've never ran. By the way I have an auto. I think he would take me, but what would I have to do to run high 8's?

 

Well I guess this was a waste of time to post this. Do you guys need anymore info from me so you know what the outcome will be. His is a 98 I believe.

 

Well, he should beat you if he can muster low 9s...Personally I don't believe he runs low 9s though.

 

Why wouldnt you think that? I'm not calling you a liar or him a liar, but it has 200hp and like 210lbs/ft tq. stock. I dont know if hes upgraded his turbo or not, havent talked to him in awhile. Other than that he just has the mods I already posted.

low 9's ?? an '01 GT cant run faster than that ??

 

Stock GSTs run high 14s to low 15s which is mid 9s to low 10s in the 1/8. He runs at best with his mods mid 14s or mid 9s in the 1/8. You should be just as quick at least if not a little quicker. You should run low 9s in the 1/8.

 

didnt soemone just post last week about running high 14s/low 15s in a 01gt? is your car an auto or stick?

 

Just race the little shat...if you lose then that's all more reason to mod your car! Then later on race him again.
