I've spanked an LS1 too... kinda had the same situation as you did.
He was parked on the street near an intersection. I rolled up to the red, looked over, revved my engine, and flipped him off.
Light went green and I tore out of there... he just kept gettin smaller and smaller in the rearview as I pulled my way through 3rd gear at 5 times the legal speed limit. Holy **** it felt good!
