Got to race a terminator coupe this past weekend on a nice straight away. I had beaten one before but with the gear swap, it was a no contest. Went from a stop to about 130, he got the jump on me but I had caught up by second. I was more than car length ahead by 100 kept edging forward. What did I learn from this? Gears make a huge difference. It was MUCH closer when I only had the 3.27s in. Even though I've only got 3.73s, it made a significant difference over stock. It's also the first time I really got a good run with an 04 coupe. I got to talk to the guy and convinced him on some parts he should get (some IRS stuff from MM and a pulley swap). All he had was a CAI. Hopefully I'll get to see the guy at the drag strip in the spring.

 

ermm.. is that all you had was gears? if so, i doubt that was an 03/04 cobra.

wow, congratulations man! my dream right now is to win against a cobra. hopefully once I do a pully swap, full exhaust and 4 10s (all within a month from now) I can be in the cobra killers club ...I also want to beat an M3 real badly too[:@]

 

With all that you should be able to beat an M3 and a Cobra.

 

fallstar... what is your top speed in 4th with the supercharger and 3:73's.. and what lbs boost are you running,

 

Top speed in fourth is around 115, not sure exactly. I'm at 12 psi or so. Got some headers at my house so hopefully that'll help.

*****But your biggest mistake was posting this, because now you going to get,if only the cobra had gears or if only the cobra had a KB....For once lets just accept this and clap to a proud mustang owner.

 

With my 97 cobra I've waisted several M3's so you shouldn't have much of a problem. BUT I'm selling mine so I dont think my Nike's will do much against one now
