I raced a Viper today, started from a light, he had a little jump cause I looked at him and once he went I went...neither of of droped the cluth, he pulled hard right out of 1st and continued to pull hard throught 2nd, I was maintaining through 3rd then he slowed to turn...it was great tho...that viper is ****in fast...

99 cobra - 4.10's, intake, exhaust, chip, full suspension, x-pipe, headers, 18in Bullit rims (new addition, they are awsome)

 

How much he get you by?

 

theres this red viper around here... for some reason he wont really run anyone.. one day im gonna try to catch up to him and see if he will run me.. im real curious how i will do because me and him are putting about the same power out. hes alot lighter and aerodynamic though....

There is a 94 Viper, all stock, who keeps bugging me to run next year.

I don't think I'll be able to do anything with him though, he has quite a bit more torque than I do as it sits, when I install my pulley I think I'll be able to beat him like a step child!

I raced a Viper once... actually, let me rephrase that... I just tried to keep up with him as we were both heading up the onramp onto I469... needless to say by the time *I* got to 80 mph he had about 20 bus lengths on me.

 

Gen 1 Vipers are very slow and very heavy comapred to Gen II and Gen III, you should be able to beat a Gen I easily...

That's b/c Vettes and Vipers are status symbols. And BTW, I see alot more old men and old women driving Stangs and Camaros than I see driving Vipers and Vettes. Of course that could be because I see 25+ mustangs everyday, maybe 1 Vette, and 0 Vipers.
