well from the way he talked the GT/Cobra ??? Had a hoodscoop so it was probably a 99+ gt.. A 99+gt < Mach1 stock..Modded gt > stock or mach with exhaust..I didn't walk my buddy's mach1 he had exhaust and thats it but I had stock gears and we were almost dead even..I pull on him now with the 3:73's..So maybe You was smelling burning oil..lol and the reason you won the second time he missed a gear..foot slipped, wasnt racing, had a phone call from his mom..LOL i dont know.. or maybe you are right and he was spraying and had no pressure the first time and the second was empty..cause a pretty much stock mach isnt hard to beat for a full bolt on gt..

 

don't the 99 cobras have the hood like mine, too? Andy they have rims like the 03/04's but they aren't chrome...or is that 2000? There's a red one I always park by.

 

All cobras are SVT. Hence the name SVT cobra. ITs ford elite group that stands for special vechile team. Every engine is hand built, which is what makes them stand out. Nitrous doesnt smell. And 99cobra's do say mustang on the bumper. The easiest way to tell if its a cobra is by the 32v plate on the heads, or if u dont get a look at the engine, its the front bumper. Round fog light holes give it away. A 32v will give a different exhaust note, if you can tell them apart. Good kill none the less.

I almost did that one time. B/c in Roanoke you dont just cruise. If you even set foot (or tire) on the cruise spot, your a target...no joke. I have been to different places and none of them are as serious or as crazy as roanoke is. It like a tradition that has been going on for years. Matter of fact the police put a station at the end of the road that the cruise spot is on to help with controling it. ITs crazy. July 3rd is the best...its bumper to bumper for miles and the cops will stop you and tell you to do a burnout....haha....

I'm gonna go with a stock GT with a 75 shot would have walked your Mach. Are you sure it wasn't a 99 Cobra with some stupid hood scoop? That would almost make sense. A lightly modded N/A '99 Cobra would probably run right with your Mach 1.

I dunno. He wasn't spraying, and you can't smell it. If anything, his car would have just gotten louder when he sprayed it. But then he would have gone past you.
