raced one last night, looked &sounded stock i think it was an 03, to be honest i thought i was gonna loose but i wanted to see how bad. so were at a light i turned off and heater and TC. soon as the light turned green i took off w/ some wheel spin but not too bad, i was about 1/2 car ahead by the time i shifted to 2nd. we ran to about 90 and his front bumber was next to my rear bumper (is this considered 1car lenght?) i was really pleased with the outcome of the race and my driving!!! [8D]

looks like a '99-04 from your avatar, but who knows. what year is your car? a '99-'04 mustang gt can take a 350z stock for stock, but it can also go the other way. from what i know about the two cars, the 350z has the slight edge over pre-'05 gts, and the '05s+ GTs have a slight edge over 350zs. straight line that is.

 

In a straight line a 350Z vs. a 99-04 GT it is a drivers race.

 

I'm not really that impressed with the 350z in stock form. my parents have an 05 enthusiast edition... and compared to my mustang it feels like it has not go to it. Its a quick car, but it just doesnt feel like it.

i have an 03 and yeah it was a good race! I was going to get a 350Z before i got the stang, im glad i didnt, but i do
think that those cars have a very good engine,287-300 hP from a 3.5L not bad
