your comparing an 06 350 to an 04 cobra. I took the prices from 04 vs. 04.
About the hp ratings. They would do that for insurance purposes, muscle cars were always underrated, and it feels good to get a little "extra" HP that you didnt know about.

torque is what really gets you moving, that's how an F-350 crew cab on 38's can run in the 11's...400 horse and 1200-1500 lb feet of torque, gotta love huge compression

Torque gets you moving, but after a certain point in the RPM band... the horsepower becomes torque. Since you know that horsepower = how much work torque does. I'm sure I could explain it better. But I don't feel like it.
Horsepower isn't everything, but neither is torque. The 350z has a good mix of torque and power, with a sweet *** powerband.

You all are neglecting the fact that the Z doesn't dyno very high. They dyno maybe 10 more whp than a2v GT.
i think that domestic thechnology is years behind imports, not beacuse they cant come up with a better more powerful
product but they just dont want to invest the money that goes into doing that. i love mustangs as much as the next guy but i have
to admit that the VQ35DE is a better engine.
