for some reason that i don't know all the tracks in Arkasas are 1000' i was wondering does any one else run 1000' ? i guess most tracks are 1/8 or 1/4 mile. i just wish we had a full 1/4 her that would be nice.

 

sorry for my ignorance in drag racing, but how much more is a 1/4 mile track compared to a 1000'???

 

a 1/4 mile is 1320' a 1/8 it 660'

on most 1/4 mile time slips a 1000' will be listed but i don't here of many 1000' tracks.

 

I have never heard of a 1000' track, just 1/8th and 1/4.

 

damn. that sucks. I guess they were to lazy to add the extra 320 feet.

 

i don't know why but for some reason all three track in arkasas are 1000'

except on little 1/8 mile tack but its so crappy i won't even run my car down it.

 

Thank you,.............................. in road racing we use feet instead of 1/4 or 1/8 that is why i was a little confused!!! In road racing we have signs posted before turns and it will tell you 500', 400',300',etc...., so i wanted to know the difference between 1/4 and 1000'!!!

Memphis is much closer.
