where do you fellas get all this about crx's being fast. Hell it would take tons to make those things fast. They only come with about 120 horsepower...And 5.0's come with 225...Big difference from the start...And don't even start the weight issue...if any of you do...then i will start the torque issue....LOL...which the crx has very little of...
way to many go parts for the 5.0's and when i mean go parts i mean real go parts.. not the fart tube and look good CAI's.

For me to comprehend? ok i challenge you to put together a list of mods you would do for 10 grand to a CRX, and ill put together a list for a 5.0. Well then have OTHER people on this forum decide which would be faster. Let em know.......

Whatever, I have better things to do. However, I do have personal experience with a guy who spent 4 grand on his 5.0 motor and dyno'd out to a whopping 260 rwhp.

He wasn't my friend, and it wasn't simple bolt ons, he rebuilt the motor.
turbocharge the motor yes it'll be great. But saying a 350z or Supra can't hang with it is crazy. I don't care about my Si. the thing was a 93 CRX vs a 93 Foxbody. a 93 CRX does not weigh the same as a 93 foxbody. Therefore it takes less power to go just as quick.

Uh...actually I can, because that was the whole point of the post.
I was comparing vehicle cost new vs. vehicle cost new.
My Si was 18k new, maybe a little more for the few options (body lips, fog lamps, spoiler) for that extra 6 grand you'd better believe I could make it quicker than a 24k GT for 24k total.

bandit, crx isn't a civic. the crx weighs roughly 2400 lbs, it has a good 600-800 lb advantage on the 5oh.

To each his own, but I'm not going to back down off this. I've seen too many CRXs and civics running along side a 10 second Viper, perfectly street legal.

for the above...if you have an evo, you still have an evo. and just take a look at most of the 87 lx's you see around. not all of course, nice 'stangs do exist in large numbers.
