Do you "need" to? It depends on what you want to do with the car. If you don't care about chewing up tires or having your car wander all over the road then you don't have to do anything at all, just drop the car and go. If you want adjustability of camber then yes you need them. Some have only installed the camber bolts and have been fine, others say they can't get enough adjustability out of them and that they're dangerous. 1.5 inches is pretty low for the front and will probably put your front suspension geometry in a less than ideal situation. Another thing to consider is that the camber plates also replace the weak factory strut mounts that will fail on lowered vehicles. I just put the Steeda Ultralites on my car and I also installed the Maximum Motorsports plates (NICE, btw). I wanted the ability to adjust and align the front suspension as well as get those factory mounts out of my car. You're going to want to browse the "S197 Handling" section for information. If you have questions after you read the info, just ask. You will get more responses in that section and there are some really knowledgeable people that are willing to help you with your decision. They know their stuff!!!
