FRPP
I was thinking auto cross. how do I get started? All really wanted was to lower the car but AED strongly suggested the FRPP adjustable suspension.
I'm glad I went with the adjustable shocks and struts. The car handles really nice. I know its far from being a race car. I've never owned a car with this much performance.

AX is an absolute BLAST
I don't have room in my sig for links, but have a page of my vids to give you a good idea of what is involved. Due to your suspension mods, your car will be bumped up into a higher class than OEM and will be running with some of the big boys. Not to worry, AX is ALL ABOUT fun anyway.
Start ***HERE*** and look around. I am sure you will find something within driving distance to see how you like it. My experience has been people absolutely LOVE it if they give it one day. You may be an exception, but you would be the first of which I know
Go and just have fun.... Don't worry AT ALL about your times, nor compare yourself to another with a similar (or exactly) the same mods on his/her car. I have had PLENTY of cars I considered "lesser" than mine kick my butt! AX is all about the driver-mod.

I don't know how much of a road-trip you are willing to take, but my particular club is in Santa Rosa. If you are willing to join for about $35 a year and pay $35 per event and up for a cruise south of you, PM me and will give you some info.
As for events closer to you, peep the link I sent above and should hopefully have some events closer to you.

That's why you walk the course several times first.
In general, it's not as hard to follow the course once you've driven a couple. Most of the time, as you exit one turn or course feature, you're headed more or less toward the next one, and the course will have a certain "flow" to it. After a few runs have been made, there will be a bit of rubber laid down that might help.
You might even want to draw your own little course map for review between runs to help you do better in the places you might have had some difficulty with.
